About This Ladakh Itinerary
Ladakh is the ultimate frontier adventure — a high-altitude desert where turquoise lakes meet snow-capped peaks and ancient Buddhist monasteries cling to cliffsides. Our 7-day itinerary covers the essential Ladakh circuit — Leh's monasteries, Nubra Valley's sand dunes, the legendary Pangong Lake, and the pristine Tso Moriri.
Day 1 is dedicated to acclimatization in Leh (11,500 ft) — a crucial step for high-altitude travel. Days 2-5 take you through the highlights — Khardung La pass, Nubra Valley's Bactrian camels, and the color-changing Pangong Lake. Day 6 visits the less-touristy Tso Moriri, and Day 7 wraps up with Leh's heritage.
An SUV is strongly recommended for Ladakh due to high-altitude passes, rough roads, and river crossings. Our experienced Ladakhi drivers know every pass and can handle the challenging terrain safely.

FAQs
Yes, 7 days covers Leh, Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, and Tso Moriri. For Zanskar Valley, Turtuk, or Hanle, add 2-3 more days.
Yes, Day 1 MUST be for acclimatization. Leh is at 11,500 ft. Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol, and rest. We keep Day 1 light with only evening sightseeing.
Inner Line Permits (ILP) are needed for Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Tso Moriri, and Tso Kar. Indian citizens can get them online. Foreign nationals need from DC Office Leh.
We strongly recommend an SUV for Ladakh. The roads to Pangong and Nubra involve high passes, river crossings, and rough patches that are challenging for sedans.
Warm layers (even in summer), sunscreen (SPF 50+), sunglasses, altitude medicine, thermal wear, windproof jacket, lip balm, and a good camera. Nights can be sub-zero.
Yes! The Manali-Leh highway (475 km, 2 days) or Srinagar-Leh highway (415 km, 2 days) are epic road trips. We offer full Delhi-Leh-Delhi road trip packages.
