Mathura-Vrindavan has the world's most famous Holi celebrations (Feb-March). Lathmar Holi at Barsana and flower Holi at Banke Bihari are legendary. Book well in advance.
ISKCON temple offers excellent prasadam lunch. Mathura is also famous for pedas (milk sweet). Vrindavan is strictly vegetarian — no non-veg food is available.
