The Haridwar to Kedarnath tempo traveller journey is one of the most revered Char Dham pilgrimages in Uttarakhand. Your group travels via NH7 along the Ganges through Rishikesh, then follows the Mandakini River valley via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Guptkashi. The tempo traveller drops you at Gaurikund (1,982m), from where the 16 km trek to Kedarnath Temple (3,583m) begins — alternatively, helicopter services operate from Guptkashi. En route, stop at Devprayag to witness the sacred confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers forming the Ganga. The road passes through dense deodar forests, terraced villages, and dramatic gorges carved by Himalayan rivers. At Rudraprayag, savour hot maggi and chai at the riverside stalls. Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, sits against the backdrop of the massive Kedarnath peak (6,940m) and the Chorabari Glacier.
